Kitty put an approximately 5 minute Combaton video together today using professional footage from the tournament demo at Mt. Dora Middle School in Spring 2007. Due to technical problems (unable to convert format to JPEG2), it won't go out tonight.
Look for it soon. Basically, it tells the story a game from the beginning to the first scored goal. The footage was filmed using two cameras and she only used the close-ups and tighter shots. At the beginning the players are clearly recognizable.
When complete, it will go out on YouTube and My Space Videos on the same day.

Explaination of the Take-Down Rule:
When a player crosses into the strike zone area, that is, the red matted area around the goal pole, a player can kick his or her opponent twice in succession and may initiate a take-down and grapple. However, after the player kicks their opponent twice, the opponent can also initiate the take-down. In other words, if either or of the players kicks twice in succession then it becomes legal for both to initiate the throw to the ground.
Combaton is a martial art team sport.

Simultaneous Possession of the Baton
In a simultaneous possession when two opposing players have a hold on the baton, a fight-off results to determine which team gains possession. In a SIMULTANEOUS POSSESSION IN WHICH THERE ARE THREE OR MORE OPPOSING PLAYERS INVOLVED, the coach(s) of the team(s) will determine which player participates in the fight-off.
