The game video of the Championships at the Disney Martial Arts Festival will be mailed to the coaches as soon as it comes out next week. Video Solutions of Lake County is making copies. Bruce, the owner, says that there is so much footage that it takes 20 minutes to burn each copy using his professional equipment. He's loaded up with other projects but will be working on ours too. Hopefully Steve will be able to get copies out very soon.
When you see it, think about what you think the best plays were. Steve and Bruce will also work on making a new video for comBATON.com. The next video will not have a commercial at the end but will be more like a highlight reel. We'll be looking at to get ideas for improving the game also. Due to the time it takes to make copies, teams will need to make and distribute copies of the one sent to the coaches. Steve will also see if the file sizes can be reduced so we can edit them. They are HUGE and my computer started asking me to delete PROGRAMS to make room to work with them. I deleted as much as I could and the files were still too big.

Explaination of the Take-Down Rule:
When a player crosses into the strike zone area, that is, the red matted area around the goal pole, a player can kick his or her opponent twice in succession and may initiate a take-down and grapple. However, after the player kicks their opponent twice, the opponent can also initiate the take-down. In other words, if either or of the players kicks twice in succession then it becomes legal for both to initiate the throw to the ground.

Simultaneous Possession of the Baton
In a simultaneous possession when two opposing players have a hold on the baton, a fight-off results to determine which team gains possession. In a SIMULTANEOUS POSSESSION IN WHICH THERE ARE THREE OR MORE OPPOSING PLAYERS INVOLVED, the coach(s) of the team(s) will determine which player participates in the fight-off.
